This video introduces the toolkit developed by the Europe-China Clean Energy Centre (EC2) to support local governments and institutions in China in the fields of energy and urban development and regeneration. The toolkit comprises a set of flexible tools for decision making, involvement and partnership, technology development and business planning. It can be a valuable asset at each phase of an energy and urban sustainability project, whether research, development or dissemination. In response to local needs, the matrix offers flexible combinations and encourages the participation of all stakeholders in innovative policy and technology development.
The Europe-China Clean Energy Centre is a five-year cooperation project funded by the European Union. It was launched in 2010 by the European Commission, the National Energy Administration of China and the Ministry of Commerce of China, with the support of the Italian Ministry for the Environment, Land and Sea. The REC's Climate Change and Clean Energy Topic Area contributes to the work of the EC2.
