Final publication of the SEARCH II project
The SEARCH initiative (School Environment and Respiratory Health of Children) is an environment and health research project implemented within the international frameworks of the EU Action Plan on Environment and Health; and the World Health Organization's Children's Environment and Health Action Plan for Europe. This publication presents the results of the second phase of the SEARCH initiative, which contribute to the 2014 mid-term review of the Parma Declaration of WHO Europe. The outcomes of the SEARCH II environmental health research show children's exposure to indoor air pollution and the resulting health impacts, and the project's conclusions and recommendations support the development of environmental and health policies in Central and Eastern Europe and beyond. The pdf contains links to relevant sections of the SEARCH II Outcomes on the project website, where supplementary tables and figures can be found.
The SEARCH II project was implemented by the REC's Health and Environment Topic Area with the financial and technical support of the Italian Ministry for the Environment, Land and Sea.
