Green Horizon – Volume 4, Number 4

Green Horizon
December 2007 | Print | Periodical

Green Horizon, the quarterly magazine of the REC, was published in printed form until 2008. Green Horizon assists the REC in its mission to promote public participation in environmental decision making by providing information on the environment and encouraging cooperation among regional stakeholders. The magazine continues to report on the cases and stories that shape the environment as Green Horizon Online (www.greenhorizon-online.com).

In this issue, Green Horizon catches up with some brilliant minds attending the World Science Forum in Budapest and explores what the scientific community is saying about climate change. It also features an interview with scientist, author and teacher Dennis Meadows. This issue also presents the outcomes of the 6th Ministerial Conference "Environment for Europe", held in October in Belgrade, new EU public transport regulations, and a Russian natural paradise at risk of over-exploitation for the purposes of tourism.
