Within the scope of planned country visits, the SEEDLING Team visited Podgorica, Montenegro on February 11-12, 2016 for some important meetings with beneficiaries and stakeholders. The team also met the newly appointed contact person from the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism of Montenegro, Admir Sahmanovic, Advisor in the Division for EU Pre-Accession Assistance.
Sahmanovic expressed strong support for the project on behalf of the Ministry, and also discussed other possible areas of cooperation with the REC.
The meeting with educators and experts in the area of sustainable development was also held in Podgorica. Janos Zlinszky, the Director of the REC Sustainable Development Academy, gave an overview of the process of development of the Sustainable Development Goals, followed by two additional team members' presentations of the project activities and on the method of development of the new SDG multimedia tool for secondary schools. All participants gave strong support and expressed their satisfaction with the continuation of educational activities in the region. The group discussed possible follow-up activities in the area of support for ongoing educational reforms in Montenegro, with financial assiastance from the Rockefeller Brothers Fund and implemented by REC, as well as their potential regarding the development of the new multimedia tool within the scope of the SEEDLING project.

Sustainable Development and Education
The SEEDLING project is implemented by the Regional Environmental Center (REC) and financed by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA). The total project amount is EUR 1.534 million. Of this amount, ADA is contributing EUR 1.4 million in funding, while the remainder is a contribution from the REC.
