Objectives:

Main activities: rehabilitation of sewage water
system in two districts of Shkodra town, awareness activities with
community (leaflets publication, public meetings with participation
of municipality representatives; media events and coverage.
Expected outputs:
- Improved sewage water system for two districts
(construction of 620 ml of sewage water pipelines)
- Decreasing the possibility for illnesses caused
by sewage water flow
- Improved awareness of the local community regarding
the environment and sustainable development,
- Enhanced cooperation between community and municipality
- 500 leaflet distributed
- Media coverage for the project

Objectives
- to promote initiatives related to better use
of the energy;
- to increase the knowledge of community regarding
the thermo-insulation
- to increase the awareness of the constructors
and architects for the solutions of increasing the energy efficiency;
- to establish an information exchange on energy
efficiency and energy management
- to promote new alternatives on energy use in
urban planning and construction
Main activities:
Assessment (through a questionnaire) of the use
of thermo-insulation in Korça and Erseka towns; piloting
the use of thermo-insulation in public administration building in
Erseka; awareness and media campaign on benefits of usage of thermo-insulation
in buildings; workshops with the local community and local government
on requirement of thermo-insulation in construction permitting;
printing and distribution of awareness materials: leaflets posters)
Expected outputs:
- Increased information and knowledge of the
community on thermo-insulation and its benefits;
- Establishing a concrete example on benefit of
use thermo-insulation in buildings (reduce of energy consumption;
- Fostering the partnership between CSO and public
institutions;
- Increased awareness among the construction
businesses on measures for increasing energy efficiency of buildings.

of Rehabilitation plan of Historical Center of Gjirokastra, improving
environment and urban planning |

Objectives:
- to promote environmental positive changes in
Historical Center of the Gjirokastra town;
- to improve urban arrangements to support tourism;
- to increase the implementation scale of the
urban plan of the town, considering the environment and historical
values;
- to increase the involvement of the community
in urban management issues
Main activities:
Construction of two green areas, including infrastructure
improvement (lighting, waste collection, recreational, etc)
Two round tables, one with citizens for initiation of developing
a local regulation on the traffic in historical center of the town
and the second with local institutions representatives, aiming at
their involvement on the processes of the better management of the
urban environment and historical and environmental values of the
town
Expected outputs:
- Improvement of the implementation of the Rehabilitation
Plan of historical Centre;
- Increasing the green areas surface in the historic
centre of the town;
- Improvement of the management of the historic
centre of the town through the urban planning and involvement
of the community and other stakeholders.

Objectives
- To improve the level of the knowledge and awareness
of the community on sustainable use of the water;
- To increase the awareness of the decision-makers
on improving the cooperation with the consumers seeking to improve
the water supply to citizens
- To foster the cooperation of different stakeholders
on better management of the drinking water
Main activities
Development on implementation of media campaign
on the topic, including TV spot, a documentary on water use patterns
in different locations, publication of a leaflet, a TV debate with
experts, CSOs, consumers; preparation of DVD with the TV materials,
which will be distributed to local TV stations for further broadcasting
Expected outputs:
- Increased awareness of the public for the sustainable
use of the water;
- Improved behaviour patterns of the water consumers;
- Increased awareness of the authorities on the
need of involving public and consumers for a better management
of water resources;
- Improved water supply to consumers.
