Project Support - SECTOR Regional Grants


 

The regional grants programme is designed to support regional cooperative environmental projects. Grants will be from EUR 35,000 to EUR 50,000 per project, with a total of EUR 200,000 available for each call. Projects must involve NGOs from different countries working together on cross-border or regional environmental issues. Two regional calls are envisaged during the period of the framework programme. The grants announcement and the grants guidelines provide complete information about each call.

This programme is run by staff at the REC’s head office with support from its country office network in seven target territories, as well as external experts.

Target

Registered civil society organisations (CSOs) promoting environmental protection and the sustainable use of natural resources from seven SEE territories: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia (including UN administered Kosovo).

Scope

Promoting regional cooperation to:

Approach

  • Regional/networking focus;
  • Involvement of local stakeholders;
  • Collaboration with central and local governments.

Timing

Regional grants will be distrbuted in two rounds within the following timelines:
