SECTOR Project Support - SECTOR National Grants

The REC’s country and field offices in the target countries will have primary responsibility for distributing national grants to support specific projects developed by environmental civil society organisations (CSOs). This will be done by designing and delivering a series of grant calls based on the REC’s national grants format. The grants announcement and the grants guidelines provide complete information on each round. Target Registered CSOs promoting environmental protection and the sustainable use of natural resources in six SEE territories: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia (including UN administered Kosovo). Scope Improving the urban environment; sustainable development; and priorities in each individual country as identified through the CSO assessment. Approach Community level focus; Concrete involvement of local stakeholders; Collaboration with central and local governments.
