Skill-sets Tools and mechanisms for effecting change, environmental action and making a difference
Lobbying
  • What is Lobbying and what are the rules in your country/territory?
  • How to build and manage coalitions
  • How to run a lobbying campaign, including fact-finding and strategic planning
  • How to lobby effectively and identify successful entry points and “levers of influence” for campaign success (including collaboration with the media)
  • How to plan for and evaluate the success of a campaign (incl.; using monitoring and evaluation systems)
Watch-dogging
  • What is Watch-dogging?
  • What public reporting rules bind governments and corporations in your country/territory?
  • How to identify your target area for watchdogging (legislation, policy, product benchmarks) and establish your strategic watchdogging plan.
  • How to monitor/observe your target area, investigate and gather data.
  • How to hold your target group publicly accountable (answerable, responsible, liable), capitalise fully on the media and be prepared for critical reaction
  • How to evaluate the success of your campaign/report.
