Regional REEEP Secretariat Workshop on Renewables Connection to the Network

With funding provided by the REEEP Regional Secretariat and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the Energy Regulators Regional Association (ERRA) organised the Workshop on “Renewables Connection to the Network” on October 3, in Zagreb, Croatia. The event brought together energy regulators and energy experts from the regions of Central and Eastern Europe, Turkey and the Newly Independent States. During the event the participants exchanged information and discussed connecting renewables to the electricity grid, regulations regarding distributed generation, incentives for its development, current technical and legislative problems, and their possible solutions. Future trends for different renewable energy sources and a comparison of their consistency for grid connection were also covered.
