March 2018 | Online | Website

The aim of the Green Technology Transfer platform is to assist the countries of South Eastern Europe to meet their international climate pledges by encouraging the transfer of low-carbon technologies from Japanese leaders in the field. Inspired by the Paris Agreement, which highlights the transfer of advanced climate technologies as a critical factor in reducing emissions and improving resilience to climate change, the platform features over 3,200 low-carbon technologies developed by Japanese manufacturers and certified by the Ministry of Environment of Japan. The platform also features summaries of technology needs assessments, technology action plans and other documents, providing Japanese low-carbon businesses with information on the technology transfer needs of individual countries in South Eastern Europe.

The Green Tech Transfer project is implemented by the REC in collaboration with the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies, with funding from the Government of Japan.
