How to Integrate Sustainable Development Skills and Values into Educational Reforms

How to Integrate Sustainable Development Skills and Values into Educational Reforms
June 2017 | Online | Video

This video, with translations into four languages, was produced in the framework of the regional programme “ESD in the Western Balkans”, which was implemented in Serbia, Kosovo* and Montenegro between 2011 and 2017 with financial support from the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, EuropeAid and other donors. The programme was internationally recognised as a best practice in the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe evaluation report “10 Years of the UNECE Strategy on ESD, 2005-2015”. It has also been promoted in several international forums, including the Eighth Ministerial Conference "Environment for Europe" (2016) and the high-level Board of Trustees meeting with the Rockefeller Brothers Fund in Podgorica, Montenegro. The video explains how aligning education for sustainable development (ESD) with current trends in educational reforms can contribute to successful environmental education, as well as the long-term sustainability and economic well-being of countries and their transition to a green economy.
