What’s Shaking – Issue 7

What’s Shaking
April 2016 | Online | Periodical

This issue of What’s Shaking focuses on the Czech Republic and the activities of SEiSMiC’s Czech National Network. One article summarises recent research showing that Czech citizens, on average, are rather uninvolved in volunteerism and other civil activity. Despite that, Czech civil society has produced many interesting initiatives, including groups promoting social equality for Roma women; a programme at Charles University’s Faculty of Humanities to matriculate refugees, and a social enterprise in which homeless people give unique guided tours of Prague.
