What’s Shaking

Newsletter of the SEiSMiC project

May 2015 | Online | Periodical

Issue 2 of the project newsletter begins with the editorial “SEiSMiC Takes Up New Urban Governance”. This spring, SEiSMiC activities went from preliminary tremors to a roaring temblor. After a year’s work building social innovation networks (or NaNets) in the 10 project countries, year two activated them in actual project work. The networks will facilitate dialogue and exchange as well as support selected projects both in country and across borders. It will be an experiment in how multidisciplinary groups in different national contexts can cooperate for the good of society.

The SEiSMiC project supports and adds a social dimension to JPI Urban Europe. It is funded by the European Union's Seventh Framework Programme for research, technological development and demonstration, and is implemented with the participation of the REC's Smart Cities and Mobility Topic Area.
