Newsletter of the OPTIMUM project
The first issue of the project's electronic newsletter opens with an editorial by Kiousi Akrivi, OPTIMUM project manager, who outlines three smart responses to transport-related challenges currently being piloted by OPTIMUM partners. Each of the three pilot studies addresses a different aspect of the OPTIMUM approach, and following testing and adaptation it is hoped that the solutions can be implemented on a wider basis.
The newsletter also features a general introduction to project activities and aims; a round-up of experts’ views on the pilot studies; partner news; and a report from the project workshop “Big Data and Open Data in Transport”.
The OPTIMUM project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme and is being implemented by a consortium that includes the REC's Smart Cities and Mobility Topic Area.
