The Adaptation to Climate Change Programme in Hungary
October 2016 | Print | Leaflet

European Economic Area (EEA) Grants and Norway Grants are financial mechanisms established by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway to reduce economic and social disparities within the EEA and to encourage bilateral cooperation and project partnerships with 15 EU countries, including Hungary. The REC is fund operator for the Adaptation to Climate Change programme in Hungary, which aims, among other things, to enhance knowledge about climate change impacts in Hungary and encourage actions to improve climate resilience at local level. This leaflet introduces the three components of the programme and outlines the respective activities and results.

The Adaptation to Climate Change project is implemented by the REC’s Climate Change and Clean Energy Topic Area, with funding from the Financial Mechanism Office of the EEA and Norway Grants.
