Urban Sustainability and Low-Carbon Development: Chinese and European Practices

Fourth EC2 e-learning training course 2015

April 2015 | Online | Website

The Europe-China Clean Energy Centre (EC2) and Tianjin University developed an e-learning course for local governments, officials and urban planners in China on the topics of energy and urban development and regeneration. The lectures explored how to find a balance between progressive urban development and a sustainable future, and how to maximise the growth opportunities arising from low-carbon development. This website makes available all the e-lectures as well as a range of EC2 publications. It also features a video introducing the EC2 Demo Zone Toolkit, which comprises a set of flexible tools for decision making, involvement and partnership, technology development and business planning.

The REC's Climate Change and Clean Energy Topic Area contributes to EC2 activities, with funding from the European Union and the Italian Ministry for the Environment, Land and Sea.
