This training manual was developed under the project Attaining Energy-Efficient Mobility in an Ageing Society (AENEAS) to help transportation companies integrate soft skills into driver training programmes with respect to daily interactions with the elderly. PowerPoint slides, learning goals, background information and exercises show drivers how their attitude towards their elderly passengers affects both the passengers’ ability to stay socially active and independent, and the profitability of the company, which must increasingly rely on income from this age group.
