A survey of public transport in six cities of Central and Eastern Europe
This publication is a summary of the findings of the REC project “Promotion of Public Transport in Central and Eastern Europe”. The main aim of the project was to develop regional cooperation between public transport stakeholders in the EU’s new member states and candidate countries in Central and Eastern Europe. The publication presents case studies prepared within the framework of the project and summarises their findings. Some of the case studies outline the status, needs and priority measures to support public transport; while others cover the priority problems and needs of public transport financing.
