Tsvetelina Borissova Filipova, a Senior Expert with the REC, recently attended the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum (EaP CSF) in Chisinau, Moldova, where she was elected to the position of EU Coordinator for the Environment, Climate Change and Energy Security Work Group.
Filipova was recognised for her recent work in both Moldova and Belarus. In accepting the position, she has thus also become a member of the EaP CSF Steering Committee, and will participate in the Third EaP forum in November 28-29, 2013.
The EaP Steering Committee comprises 16 members who are elected by the participants at the Civil Society Forum, plus one interim member. As an independent body, it has representatives from each working group, the EU civil society representatives and the national platforms of the EaP countries.The Steering Committee is the representative body of the Civil Society Forum with a mandate from civil society in the Eastern Partnership countries and EU member states. It serves as the governing board of the Forum. It meets four times per year to develop strategies for future development and guides the activities of the Forum.
