One of the main activities within the Support for the Natura 2000 Biogeographical Process project is the organization of seminars. The Natura 2000 Biogeographical seminars are an integral component of the Natura 2000 Biogeographical process and focus on progress and current challenges in each biogeographical region and are organised and delivered with the participation of stakeholders in the biogeographical process, relevant experts and representatives from the EC, EEA, the European Topic Centre on Biological Diversity, the European Habitats Forum and the European Natura 2000 Users Forum.
In the next few months, the following seminars are planned:
- The Macaronesian biogeographical seminar, which focuses on the Canaries, Madeira, and Azores, is being prepared by the the Spanish Ministry for the Ecological Transition (MITECO) and European Commission (EC) and will be hosted in Funchal (Madeira, PT) by the Governo Regional da Madeira from 24 to 27 September 2018.
