The REC is pleased to announce the publication and official launch of the Themis Network Action Toolkit, a 374-page compendium of capacity development activities carred out during the implementation of the Themis project. The publication is being launched during the EU Environmental Enforcement Networks Conference, held in Oxford, UK, on September 20-21, 2017, which is also where the Themis Network is holding its final event.
The Action Toolkit content is based on materials used during the three Themis regional training programmes that the REC delivered to project beneficiary countries. It covers: training; organisational planning and management; enforcement and compliance management; nature conservation and the challenges of implementing EU nature protection legislation; and cross-cutting issues in the EU environmental acquis.
Edited by Elaine Brennan Wright, the Action Toolkit features contributions from multiple authors: Katica Bezuh, Tsvetelina Filipova (REC), Jo J.A. Gerardu, Vesna Kolar Planinsic, Attila Krall, Marcia Mulkey, Grant Pink, Rob de Rijck, Birgit Schmidhuber, Peter Toth, Cheryl E. Wasserman, and Elaine Brennan Wright.
The Themis Network Action Toolkit is also available online.
