An external evaluation of the Themis Network (Phase 2) project was launched last week. Themis is financed by the Austrian Development Agency, and will end in September 2017 following three years of implementation by the REC.
Following the selection of GEO Smart and Sustainable Solutions to carry out the external evaluation, its director joined the Themis Secretariat team for a kick-off meeting on July 27, 2017, in Szentendre, Hungary. The meeting provided an opportunity to introduce the project and the project team to the evaluator, and to agree on the templates and timetable for reporting. The final evaluation report, which will present, among other things, the results of the evaluation process in accordance with the evaluation criteria proposed by the Development Assistance Committee of the Organisation for Economnic Co-operation and Development (OECD DAC) and the Austrian Development Cooperation's Guidelines for Project and Programme Evaluation, is expected to be finalised by August 31, 2017. The report will include lessons learned and recommendations for the future.
