Within the scope of planned country visits, the SEEDLING project team visited Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina on March 9-10, 2016. On March 9, a meeting was held at the REC Country Office premises with focal points from the Federal Ministry of Education and Science; the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Srpska; the Ministry of Education, Youth, Science, Culture and Sport of Bosnian-Podrinje Canton; and the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Sarajevo Canton. The nominated focal points of the SEEDLING project expressed their satisfaction with the project activities and pledged strong support from their institutions.
REC CO Bosnia and Herzegovina also hosted a meeting with educators and experts on the topic of sustainable development on March 10, 2016. Kornelija Radovanovikj, Senior Expert at the Sustainable Development Academy, summarised the origins and evolvement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals and followed with presentation of the project activities. Kliment Mindjov, Senior Exert in Educational Tools Topic Area, explained the development methodology and outlined a possible structure of the new SDG multimedia tool for secondary schools.
All participants indicated strong support for the project and appreciated the invitation of the REC team to work on the deliverables. The group has already discussed getting an early start on activities related to the first cluster, and some follow-up steps have also been defined.

Note: The SEEDLING project is implemented by the Regional Environmental Center (REC) and financed by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA). The total project amount is EUR 1.534 million. Of this amount, ADA is contributing EUR 1.4 million in funding, while the remainder is a contribution from the REC.
