The Netherlands' EU presidency prioritises taking a comprehensive approach towards migration and international security, while also championing Europe as an innovator and job creator; it seeks to maintain a robust Eurozone while at the same time pursuing a forward-looking policy on climate and energy.

Drawing from a long-standing tradition of cooperation with the Netherlands, the REC agreed with the visiting delegation to jointly promote the European Commission's Circular Economy Package and Smart and Green Transportation solutions through a series of activities and events taking place in Hungary.

The REC also seeks to establish cooperation with the Netherlands Embassy in areas of water management, law enforcement, and participatory governance. In the near future, the country offices of the REC will continue their dialogue with the Netherlands Presidency in the region. The REC also looks forward to Slovakia's forthcoming EU presidency and will continue its efforts to promote cooperation in efforts related to environmental sustainability.
