Cross-sector guide
Aims of the project:
"Building bridges" and improving communication and democracy
among the environmental stakeholder groups (Govt.- NGOs - Business - Media
- Research - Education - Law enforcement)
Project activities:
- Analysis of approaches, methods and patterns, understanding
of real knowledge and prejudices - collecting "good practices"
and "problems" of communication and cooperation amongst the
various environmental stakeholder groups
- Offering practical tools and methods, create or improve
openness and understanding based on the "Aarhus Convention on Public
Participation in Environmental Decision Making" framework
Methodology:
Workshops, 39 personal interviews with key actors, literature review (communication
books, analytical reports on environmental actors), on-line communication,
web-page and e-mailing list
Key outcomes:
"Cross-sectoral guide" - handbook, homepage and distance education
pack (Open ended editing - folders with replaceable chapters - with room
for additional development and improvement for a future second edition)
