New interactive tool for decision-making

An interactive tool that eases decision-making is currently under development to meet this objective. Using the tool, decision-makers are able to assess different methods for effectively reaching a given target audience and meeting the goals of their projects. The project is being coordinated by Surrey County Council, in partnership with seven other organizations, including the REC. The program started in January 2005 and will finish in December 2007. It is financed by the European Union's INTERREG IIIC Programme.

Between the 10th and 12th of March the Hungarian ChangeLAB partners presented the program at the 16th National Conference of Hungarian Environmental and Nature Conservation NGOs in Veszprem, Hungary. They provided information about the program through posters and flyers. The REC Head Office also gave participants the opportunity to try out the Technique Planner, one of the most important outputs of the program. The tool was developed to support practitioners in planning future sustainable consumption projects. Participants were able to go through the planner step by step, understand the theory behind it, and give comments based on their real life experience.
If you are interested in the development of the ChangeLAB Technique Planner or would like to sign up for the ChangeLAB Newsletter, please feel free to contact with REC Country Office Hungary via email at COH@rec.org.
