Danube Regional Project Grants

This granting scheme, a component of the Danube Regional Project (DRP), is managed by the REC head office in cooperation with REC offices in nine Danube Countries, in addition to those in Ukraine and Moldova.

Amount of grants available over four years: USD 1.5 million.

Call for international cooperative environmental projects

The Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe (REC), with the support of the Danish Environmental Protection Agency Division for Eastern and Central Europe (DANCEE) offers international co-operative grants to solve region-wide or cross-border environmental problematic issues.

The scope of the project is to promote NGO co-operation within and beyond CEE and NIS borders, to provide solutions to cross-border or region-wide environmental problems by enabling CEE / NIS NGOs to run co-operative projects. Only registered non-governmental organizations are eligible to apply.
Projects must be a co-operative effort adn they may address any environmental topic which is a priority in the CEE and NIS region, with impact on the region.

Maximum available per project is 35 000 EUR.
The whole application procedure - including identification of the partner organizations, preparing concept ideas, working out cooperation among applicants, submitting Project Concepts and Proposals - is explained in details in the PROJECT GUIDELINES and APPLICATION FORMS.

Deadline for Concept Papers : July 12, 2002.
