In the framework of the project Support to Civil Society Organisations in Albania (SENiOR-II), funded by the Government of Sweden, REC Albania is organising a training on sustainable transport and mobility. Participants at the event, which is part of the project's Environmental Management Training Programme, will learn more about the "smart city" concept, progress achieved towards more sustainable transport modes, successful practices already implemented in Albania, and the role of civil society in promoting such initiatives.
The training will be led by Mr. Torben Heinemann, head of the Urban Planning Department of the city of Leipzig and a lecturer at the German Urban Planning Institute, who specialises in sustainable mobility strategies.
Civil society organisations wishing to send a representative to take part in the training should send an expression of interest and the CV of the applicant, clearly indicating the applicant's role within the CSO and the relevance of the training to their area of work.
As most of the training will be in English, a good command of the English language will be a selection criterion for participation.
Applications must be submitted by e-mail to ghoxha@rec.org, by March 30, 2018.
Successful applicants will be notified by REC Albania regarding the logistical details of the training.
