Aimed at building a common understanding of the needs of water practitioners and stakeholders in terms of cooperation and a regional approach to managing water issues, the objectives of the regional workshop on IWRM principles are to:

• provide access to environmental and water-related information;
• encourage local-level contributions to the achievement of national targets;
• support regional cooperation and dialogue on water security challenges and the Sustainable Development Goals;
• explore opportunities, mechanisms and synergies in the water sector across the WATER SUM beneficiary countries and the wider MENA region; and
• share experiences and insights on sustainable water management solutions and discuss ways to promote the planning and implementation of actions among stakeholders operating at different levels in the water sector.
