The Environmental Civil Society Support Programme for Serbia (CSOnnect) is please to announce its "First Media Training for Journalists and News Editors". In order to actively support the process of Serbia's accession to the European Union, the REC aims to raise the profile of environment in public discourse by making it a "hot topic" on several levels, ranging from current ecological issues to the finer points of Chapter 27 negotiations. Journalists and the media are a significant part of how we perceive everyday reality, whether through the newspaper, radio, television, or electronic and social media. Various media determine our social environment and are also needed to help raise awareness of topics that are central to public discourse, and the REC plans to play its part in helping to strengthen the knowledge of journalists and promote the importance of their work.
