The Second Training on Monitoring Issues in Tunisia, a follow-up event to a first training held in October 2016, aims to improve the capacities and knowledge of state institutions in planning and applying water monitoring programmes. The event takes place within Action A1.2 of the Water Resources Management Good Practices and Knowledge Transfer (WATER POrT) component of the WATER SUM project.

The objectives of the training are to:

• provide follow-up water monitoring training for water authorities, pratitioners and other stakeholders in Tunisia who are involved in the protection of water resources;
• supply knowledge, tools and practices for data collection and processing related to quality and quantity of surface and ground waters; and
• build capacity to facilitate data interpretation and analysis.
