REC, in cooperation with the Macedonian Ministry of Environmental Protection and Physical Planning

A regional workshop will take place in the framework of the project "Support to the Establishment and Advancement of Pollutant Release and Transfer Registers (PRTRs) in Western Balkan Countries and the Republic of Moldova”, funded by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety and supervised by the German Environment Agency. The project is being implemented by the REC in cooperation with national PRTR focal points, other country partners, and the UNECE PRTR Protocol Secretariat.

The workshop, which is one of the closing events of the project, will allow participants to share relevant PRTR-related experience and knowledge gained during the project, and to learn about good practices from countries with more advanced PRTR systems. The event will therefore help parties and signatories to the PRTR Protocol in the development and operation of their PRTRs. It will also contribute to preparations for the next Meeting of the Parties to the PRTR Protocol, to be held in Budva, Montenegro, in September 2017.
