Welcome! We wish to invite
you to the “Training for Environmental Inspectors, Permit
Writers and EPA Officials Focused on LCP and Seveso II
Directives Implementation as Well as on Development and
Maintenance of E-PRTR.” The training is part of the
multi-annual work programme of the Environmental
Compliance and Enforcement Network for Accession (ECENA)
for the period 2007-2010. The European Commission CARDS 2005
Regional Programme is providing financial support.
The training, focusing on countries that are either
candidates or potential candidates for EU membership, seeks
to increase their capacities to implement the Large
Combustion Plants and Seveso II directives. The training
will also help the counties in fulfilling their obligations
under the European Pollutant Release and Transfer Register
(E-PRTR), which will succeed the European Pollutant
Emissions Register (EPER).
ECENA is an informal network of
environmental authorities from the potential candidate,
candidate states as well as new member countries Bulgaria
and Romania. The European Commission is also a member of
ECENA. The main objective of ECENA
is to support its member countries in strengthening
environmental compliance and enforcement in line with the
obligations taken up in the EU accession process and – where
relevant - the obligations under the Stabilisation and
Association Process. |
