The Electronic Tools Task Force works through a number of mechanisms to encourage awareness and utilisation of electronic tools. Activities to date have included:

• events, including capacity-building workshops, discussions etc.;
• assessments of needs, obstacles, challenges, practices;
• an inventory of electronic tools and best practice case studies;
• recommendations fostering the use of electronic tools;
• technology and know-how transfer through the capacity building and clearing house mechanisms as stated by Decision I/10 (PDF 18Kb) from the First Meeting of parties to the Convention (Lucca, Italy); and
• online discussion fora;
