The Electronic Tools Task Force operates through a number
of virtual (or electronic) fora:
- As a virtual community, it exchanges
opinion, documents and know-how through an email based
discussion list. The "e-aarhus" virtual community is designed
to support the discussions of the Task
Force members with respect to electronic tools and
their future application. It also involves representatives
of the NGO community. This is a closed list, although
results and exchanges from this group will be posted from
time to time at the Task Force website's discussion board.
- Via an online discussion
board, feedback is invited from interested observers
and participants within the Internet community. Comments
raised in this open forum are automatically forwarded
to the Task Force's virtual community email list, and
subsequent Task Force responses are posted to the discussion
board by the list moderator.
- Through a one way email based announcements
list, which involves a broader range of interest groups
and individuals in its work (e.g. global UNEP Infoterra
representatives). If you are interested in the work of the
Task Force and being informed of its progress, you too can
become a Virtual Task Force Partner
and receive these periodic updates. In this way, you will
also become part of the Electronic Tools Task Force, and
may wish to contribute at a later stage to its activities
through one of the above mechanisms.
