In order to facilitate the work of the first Electronic
Tools Task Force and identify priority activities for
its future work, the Regional Environmental Center for
Central and Eastern Europe (REC) invited feedback from
UNECE countries during February 2001 on priority needs
for electronic tools and the respective challenges and
obstacles to their implementation. The research resulted
in a short report, the findings of which are available
here.
Before the first Task Force
on Electronic Information Tools Meeting, June 23-24,
2003, Sofia, Bulgaria, 14 delegations submitted responses
to a questionnaire on the use of electronic tools in their
countries, the main findings of which were reported by
the Task Force Secretariat. Section VI of the meeting
report (PDF 126Kb) includes the questions asked and
the main findings.
Before the second Task Force
Meeting, January 26-27, 2004, Geneva, Task Force representatives
were asked to submit their answers to a questionnaire
on recent developments with respect to the use of electronic
information tools to promote the implementation of the
Convention in their countries. Section IV of the meeting
report (PDF 73Kb) summarises the questions posed and
the 19 responses received.
