Functions     Conference centre In its traditional role, the building provides facilities through which the REC can fulfil its mission to promote cooperation among non-governmental organisations, governments, businesses and other environmental stakeholders, and to encourage the free exchange of information and public participation in environmental decision making.   Information centre The new conference building includes a library that is intended as a clearinghouse of solutions to tackle the global problem of climate change.   Demonstration centre The building and the REC arboretum provide an excellent venue for exhibitions and for demonstrating new approaches to achieving sustainability.   Climate change resource The new building contains office space for REC’s experienced climate change experts.
