Laszlo Pinter | Professor and Senior Fellow, Central European University & International Institute for Sustainable Development

Laszlo Pinter holds a PhD from the University of Minnesota, a master’s degree in natural resources management from the University of Manitoba, and an MSc in agronomy from Szent Istvan University, Hungary. He is currently a professor in the Department of Environmental Sciences and Policy at Central European University in Budapest and senior fellow and associate at the International Institute for Sustainable Development in Canada, where he was director of the Measurement and Assessment Programme between 2003 and 2010. As a sustainable development and environment expert, author, speaker and practitioner, he works worldwide with governments, multilateral organisations, companies and communities that seek to translate sustainability from theory into practice. His work is inspired by the belief that global goals will be achieved by coordinated, everyday actions at the local level.
