The Italian Ministry for Environment and Territory (IMoET) will organise a Workshop on Enlargement and Environment, as part of the Italian EU Presidency for the next semester. The workshop will be centered on the the Integration of the Environmental Targets in the European Sectoral Policies, and will be held July 7 - 8 in Trieste. The workshop will be the occasion for an exchange of information and views, on: Environmental priorities in the national planning; Environmental dimension of the structural funds; Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) Directive. The IMoET asked the Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe (REC) to assist in the organisation of the event, considering the meaningful and essential work in the CEE Region which the REC so successfully accomplished and is effectively implementing in this field. REC is asked to prepare the background documents for each session, to provide a key note speaker for the session on SEA, and revise the Agenda (45-Kbyte 3-page MS Word file).
