Activities ITF-funded projects provide the REC with the possibility to support multilateral agreements such as the Aarhus and Carpathian conventions by: promoting and facilitating convention implementation at local and national levels; and enabling stakeholders at national and local levels to improve practices and share experiences. Activities include: preparing support materials (e.g. diagnostic audit, implementation guide, training materials); organising consultation mechanisms to collect feed-back from all relevant stakeholders at international, national and local levels; delivering training to NGOs and business stakeholders; facilitation of development of implementing provisions and regulations at national and local level; dissemination and promotion of best practices; enabling experience sharing among stakeholders at national and regional levels; and providing assistance through pilot projects grants..
