Good Practices In Policies & Measures

Go to full description of the project »

Outline:

This project activities examine actions implemented in six transition economies in Central and Eastern Europe to reduce or limit their emissions of greenhouse gases, having assumed quantified emission limitations and reduction objectives under the Kyoto Protocol to the Convention. The aim of the project is also to test a set of criteria for assessing "good practices" within the range of domestic policies, measures and projects for GHG emissions abatement.

Case studies were conducted in Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Slovenia in order to assess the current situation and identify good practices and appropriate actions relevant to the whole region.
