Implementing The Kyoto Protocol: Capacity Challenges In Central And Eastern Europe

Go to full description of the project »

Outline

This project provides support to conduct a survey and detailed analysis of capacity needs in six countries—Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, and Slovenia—for establishing national inventory systems (preparation, reporting, and review), and implementing the Kyoto mechanisms ("joint implementation" and "emissions trading").
The project will result in a publication that will also contain a review of regional progress, challenges, and follow-up steps for CEE governments and the international community where climate is concerned.
