Public Access To Information And Participation In Climate-Related Decision Making
 

Outline

The bulk of this project is a six-country survey assessing the access to information that is relevant to climate change and participation in climate-related activities. The countries concerned are Bulgaria, Estonia, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Slovakia. This project is an appraisal on issues regarding access to general information about GHG emissions and compliance with the Kyoto Protocol, as well as on issues regarding access to participation in decision-making that influences climate change.
 

Also relevant to the outcome of this project are activities such as media outreach, publication of briefs, seminars, etc. Each is implemented on a national level to promote public participation in climate-related activities.
