The progress of the regional project Capacity Building for Improving the Quality of GHG Inventories in Europe and CIS Region was presented at a side event during the eleventh Conference of Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in Montreal, Canada. The side-event was held with other projects of the United Nations Development Programme – Global Environment Facility (UNDP-GEF) on the second national communications, as well as on vulnerability and adaptation. A summary presentation of progress achieved was given by project manager Katarina Mareckova. Bilingual awareness materials Greenhouse Gases: Why They Count and Success Stories from Europe and the CIS region were distributed during the side event and at the UNDP-GEF stand.
