Ulysses - Urban lifestyles, Sustainability and Integrated Environmental Assessment

Lead Researcher: Mans Nilsson (Asa Gerger on maternity leave)
Region: Stockholm (As part of a wider EU Study)

Overview

SEI recently completed a case study of Stockholm as one of 12 partners undertaking studies on a range of European cities, with funding from the European Commission and Förskingsrådsnämnden. The project, named ULYSSES, utilized a number of scenario models together with "focus groups" in order to evaluate alternative, more sustainable urban lifestyles. This project was designed to bridge the gap between environmental science and democratic policy making especially related to the climate change domain.
