Globally, numerous institutions, organizations,
networks and processes, from the international to the community
level, have been established to study and resolve problems associated
with urban sustainability.
These have produced volumes of new information,
some for internal use and some for public use. Ideally, the main
objective is that the information be used to encourage positive
change and sustainability in urban areas. More specifically,
the objectives relate to who the users of the information are,
as presented in Table 1.
