Overview

The Baltic Palette - Sustainable Development of the Metropolitan Areas in the Central Baltic Region. (Level 2/1.3) Tallinn City Government Phare/Interreg January 1999 - November 1999. The Baltic Palette project aims at promoting economic, social, cultural and sustainable development in the Central Baltic Sea Region by creating a "Common Vision" through a "Common Strategic Perspective"

The aim is also to increase political and social stability of the entire Central Baltic Sea Region through the creation of a functioning, interdependent urban system among developed and transitional economies. This is achieved through such activities as co-operation and competition between metropolitan regions in co-operation and competition, sustainable development of the urban areas, developing the infrastructure for transport and development corridors connecting the urban systems.
