Formed in February 2002, Sharri.Net is the newest South Eastern European environmental NGO electronic network from Kosovo (currently under UN interim administration).. The strategic direction of the network is set by a Network Working Group. In addition to this, a Technical and Content Working Group was formed to coordinate the specific activities of participating NGOs. The Network Working Group meets once per month, while the Technical and Content Group meets weekly. Meetings take place in the Internet Room of the REC's Field Office. The coordinator for this network is Mr Guri Shkodra (from the Young Ecologists of Kosovo). The network's elected international representative is Mr Butrint Batalli from MAR. Sharri is a mountain range and National Park in the Southern part of Kosovo, along the border region of FYR Macedonia and Albania. Famous of its natural beauty, Sharri is an important Kosovar landmark.
