The project was implemented in close cooperation with many project partners constituting three main categories:   1. Project steering committee The steering committee oversaw project implementation and provided advice on upcoming activities. It included: Roko Andricevic, Deputy Minister, Croatian Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning; Maria Ivanova Minkova, Regional NGO representative (SEEEN), Ecoglasnost NM, Sofia, Bulgaria; Johannes Mayer, Federal Environmental Agency, Austria; Gordon McInnes, Acting Executive Director, European Environment Agency, Denmark; Otto Simonett, Environment and Poverty Coordinator, UNEP-GRID, Switzerland; and Jerome Simpson, Head of Information Programme, Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe, Hungary.   2. International partners The following international partners were members of the project steering committee and implemented certain project activities in cooperation with the REC team: UNEP/GRID-Arendal European Environmental Agency Federal Environmental Agency, Austria   3. Local managing authority Programi PINTA d.o.o (see a short company description) was the designated implementing agency appointed on behalf of the Croatian Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning. It was in charge of implementing all pilot project activities in accordance with the concept paper (PDF) submitted to the REC and approved by IT experts on March 5, 2002.
