| Aid for civil society
The Swedish International Development
Cooperation Agency (Sida) is working with the REC to open a new four-year
programme supporting civil society organisations (CSOs) in the Western
Balkans. Tentatively entitled SECTOR, the programme will help groups working
on issues relevant to sustainable development and the urban environment.
The programme will begin this spring with a survey and assessment of environmental
CSOs in the target countries. This study will look at several factors
influencing the work of these groups and the results will be used to further
shape the programme.
